ErgodicLabs (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is the data controller for personal information collected through this website (ergodiclabs.co) and the Edge Matrix application (the “Service”). Edge Matrix is a web-based SaaS application for backtest validation and statistical analysis.

2. Information We Collect
Account Information: When you sign up for Edge Matrix, our authentication provider (Clerk) collects your email address and a hashed password. If you sign up via Google or Apple, your name and email are received from those providers. We store your unique account identifier and email address in our database to associate your account with your subscription and uploaded files.
Subscription & Payment Information: When you start a trial or subscription, our payment processor (Lemon Squeezy) collects your billing details, payment card information, and billing address. Lemon Squeezy is a Merchant of Record and is responsible for processing your payments, handling taxes, and managing refunds. We do not store or have access to your full payment card details. We retain a non-sensitive subscription identifier and customer identifier from Lemon Squeezy so we can associate your subscription with your account, manage your tier (Solo, Pro, Lifetime, etc.), and respond to subscription events such as renewals or cancellations.
Backtest Data You Upload: Edge Matrix processes the backtest reports you upload (MT4, MT5, cTrader files, or CSV exports). These files are sent to our servers (hosted on Railway) for parsing and analysis. We process this data to generate validation results, Monte Carlo simulations, charts, and reports. Backtest analysis results may be cached temporarily for the duration of your session to enable features such as comparison and report generation. We do not sell, share, or use your backtest data for any purpose other than providing the Service to you.
Usage Data & Analytics: We may use third-party analytics services to understand website and application usage and to improve our services. These services may collect anonymized usage data, device information, browser type, and IP address. We do not use advertising or behavioral tracking cookies.
Email Communications: If you join our waitlist or mailing list, we collect your email address. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send you. Transactional emails related to your account or subscription (receipts, password resets, trial reminders) are sent regardless of marketing preferences.
Support Communications: When you contact us for support, we retain your email address and correspondence to provide assistance and for administrative purposes.

6. Data Retention

Uploaded backtest files and analysis results are retained for the duration of your session and for a limited time afterward to enable features such as comparison and report download; we do not retain them indefinitely. Support communications may be retained for administrative and security purposes. Email marketing data is retained until you unsubscribe. Anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely.
